If You're Baking a Wedding Cake and they Didn't Say their Preferences, What's the Best Flavour?

Imagine this situation:

You're in charge of baking a cake for, let's say, your cousin-in-law's wedding. Neither your cousin-in-law, who's the bride, or her husband have specified a flavour for the frosting, toppings, or cake batter. What flavour should you choose?

You can try making a decision based on the type of person you're baking the cake for. Different cake flavours correspond to different personalities, for example:

• Chocolate cake. Those who like chocolate cake are often childish at heart, and enjoy the fine things in life. It's important that they're emotionally satisfied and they keep their distance from unpleasant people.

• Red velvet cake. Those in favour of red velvet cake are daring and love the feeling of adrenaline coursing through their veins during a risky situation. They may seem harsh, but deep down they have a soft heart.

• Black forest cake. People who are fond of this cake flavour are the 'mature ones' in their friend group. They say what's right, but in a way that won't hurt anyone. They know what should be prioritized and what should be set aside for later. They've worked for everything they have and they're satisfied.

• Vanilla cake. Vanilla cake lovers are pure of heart. They're known for their kind-but-bold nature and compassionate patience. They make subtle decisions, but their astounding courage inspires others.

• Lemon cake. Lemon cake fans are most likely to bring joy to a room as likely as they are to blend in with the rest of the crowd and don't need to be the center of attention. They're lively and unpredictable (it's almost impossible to predict their next move).

And many more flavours... Those are the only flavours I can think of right now though!

Writing this makes me feel like eating cake now... I remember eating cake at LeTAO when I was in Japan... We're unable to travel now because we're told to be quarantined at home. The cake I ate was a rich cheesecake with a light and creamy texture. Oh, just thinking about it makes me hungry!
