Sanitize, Disinfect, Quarantine.

The Coronavirus, discovered in the year 2019, is the virus that caused the infamous COVID-19 pandemic. The disease is spread through microscopic droplets when you sneeze or cough, so it is important to wear a mask at all times to prevent the droplets from entering your nose or mouth. We were told to practice social distancing, but because the situation has gotten worse, we're told to stay at home and quarantine ourselves at all costs. But is quarantine really the solution?

Quarantine is something that some people enjoy, while others don't. On the plus side, we're keeping ourselves protected from the risks of contracting the disease. We're also trying things we never have before, and learning things we've never known before quarantine. Some spend their time scrolling through social media and communicating with their friends, while others might try a new recipe or try to burn some calories while at home. On the minus side, some people have done so many different activities that they have nothing left to do; they might almost die of boredom due to the lack of entertainment, longing for the exhilaration of the outside world. This also may affect the economy and income of certain businesses, creating a financial problem for many people.

Meanwhile, if you decide to go outside, take these safety precautions before you go:

• Arm yourself with a good old bottle of hand sanitizer (sanitize your hands after touching surfaces that may be contaminated!).

• Wear a mask (reason is mentioned above).

• If possible, wear a pair of gloves to prevent you from touching contaminated surfaces (if gloves aren't available, just stick to hand sanitization).

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth too often.

• Keep a 1 meter distance away from other people.

• When you return home, make sure to wash your hands properly and take a shower to cleanse yourself.

• Don't stay outside for too long; the longer you stay outside, the longer you are exposed to the risk of infection.
